Where is my freezer data saved?
Frostia saves your lab workspace directly to Firebase Firestore after sign-in. Each freezer is stored as one packed document to keep reads and writes efficient.
Is Frostia ready for public launch?
Frostia is best treated as a beta preview right now. We recommend starting with a small lab group first, checking the full workflow, and sending feedback before inviting a wider group.
Do I need Google Sheets?
No. Google Sheets is no longer required for setup or everyday use. It remains only as a legacy optional backup export for labs that already use that workflow.
Can lab members use the same freezer workspace?
Yes. A main manager can share lab access with a lab code and approve members. Approved members use the shared Firestore workspace automatically.
Can I back up my data?
Yes. You can download CSV files for Excel-readable backups and JSON files for full Frostia workspace restore.
Is Frostia only for research samples?
No. You can track cells, media, antibodies, enzymes, proteins, DNA, and other frozen lab items by slot.
Is Frostia free to use?
Yes. Frostia is built as a free platform to make lab storage easier, especially for shared research freezers.
Where should I report bugs or confusing steps?
Use the Feedback page to send bugs, unclear screens, missing features, or small workflow ideas. Short notes are welcome.
